Product Specialist

Hitachi America, Ltd. (HAL: is looking to hire a full time experienced Product Specialist for our Compressor Division (ATG) located in Charlotte, NC. The individual in this role will be responsible to provide and manage product, including market development, promotion, market intelligence, sales assistance and sales training for Hitachi Air Technology partners. This person is the ”lead” contact for Marketing Support and Strategy to ATG Distribution and OEM / Strategic Accounts. This person shall research and provide input to Japan-side development group concerning product improvements and enhancements needed for the North American Market. This position will also be a liaison between HAL and Japan to ensure that product issues are resolved and approved as related to each engineering group.


  • BS in Marketing preferred
  • 5 - 10 years product marketing/development experience in the compressed air industry is required
  • Ability to travel as required

Sr. Service Specialist

The individual in this role will be responsible for executing and managing areas of warranty, customer service, service administration, product updates and education for ATG Partner satisfaction. The person in this role will also help differentiate, create and qualify additional services and service related products that create value for ATG partners.


  • BS in Engineering or relevant Industry Experience
  • Five + years of service experience in Compressed Air Industry
  • Service/application knowledge of Recip, Scroll, Rotary Screw (Oil-Free and Oil-Injected), Compressors Controls & Air Treatment (Refrig, Desiccant dryers etc.)
  • Ability to technically troubleshoot air compressor and refrigeration products
  • Service familiarity of Competitive Brands of Air Compressors
  • Ability to travel 50-70%
