Atlas Copco Nomination Committee Proposes New Board Members

Atlas Copco’s nomination committee proposes Karin Rådström and Vagner Rego as new members of the Board of Directors of Atlas Copco AB from April 24, 2024.

The nomination committee continuously works for a successive renewal, rejuvenation and increased internationalization of the board. In its work before the AGM 2024, the nomination committee has concluded that the board can be expanded by one person. The nomination committee therefore proposes that the board is expanded from eight to nine members.

The nomination committee proposes the re-election of all current board members, except for the departing CEO and President Mats Rahmström, and the election of new members of the board Karin Rådström and Vagner Rego.

Hans Stråberg is proposed to be re-elected as chairman of the board.

The nomination committee proposes Karin Rådström as a new board member. Karin Rådström was born in 1979 and holds a Master of Engineering in industrial management, from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. She is currently CEO of the German truck manufacturer Mercedes-Benz Trucks and member of the Board of Management at Daimler Truck Holding AG. Before Karin Rådström´s current assignment, she had a long career within the Scania group, where she was, among other things, the sales manager and a part of the group management.

The nomination committee also proposes Vagner Rego as a new board member. Vagner Rego will succeed Mats Rahmström as CEO of Atlas Copco Group on May 1, 2024.

Vagner Rego’s career within Atlas Copco Group started in 1996 and he has worked in several positions within the business areas compressor technique and power technique. Vagner Rego was born in 1972 and is a Brazilian citizen. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Mackenzie University and an MBA from Ibmec Business School, both in Brazil.

Shareholders will vote on the Nomination Committee's proposal at the Atlas Copco AB Annual General Meeting to be held on April 24, 2024, at Space Arena, Sergelgatan 2 in Stockholm, Sweden.
