ControlAir announced the availability of its Type 385 stainless steel filter, designed to provide efficient filtration and high flow capacity for demanding industrial and process control applications.

ControlAir’s Type 385 stainless steel filter
The Type 385 stainless steel filter features corrosion-resistant 316L stainless steel construction throughout the body, housing, trim and filter assemblies, making it ideal for offshore, chemical processing, food and beverage, pharmaceutical and other harsh operating environments. Large internal porting and oversized flow paths deliver high flow capacity with minimal pressure drop, helping maintain stable downstream performance in high-demand pneumatic systems.
Available with either manual or automatic drain configurations, the Type 385 is engineered for reliable moisture and particulate removal while reducing maintenance requirements and improving system performance. Standard filtration is 40 micron, with an optional 5 micron element available for enhanced air cleanliness. The unit also offers a low temperature option for operation down to -61°F (-52°C).
Designed for versatility and durability, the Type 385 Stainless Steel Filter is well-suited for use with large volume valve actuators, pneumatic instrumentation, process automation systems and other applications requiring dependable air filtration under difficult environmental conditions.
The Type 385 offers maximum supply pressure ratings up to 450 psig (31 bar), with flow coefficients up to Cv 13. Port sizes are available in 3/4" or 1" NPT configurations, with dual 1/4" NPT gauge ports and 1/8" NPT exhaust connections. Operating temperature range is -40°F to 200°F (-40°C to 93°C), with optional low temperature operation from -61°F to 194°F (-52°C to 90°C). The unit is available with optional automatic drain, low temperature operation, 5 micron filtration and ATEX 2014/34/EU certification for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
