ELGi North America has donated a portable air compressor to The Other Side Academy, a non-profit vocational school for people seeking to transform their lives. The Salt Lake City-based school welcomes a variety of students, including the formerly incarcerated, homeless or those recovering from substance abuse.

The Other Side Academy offers a free two-year residential program for participants to gain hands-on experience in a new vocation. The organization’s auto team will use the ELGi GP75 portable air compressor to help maintain its vehicle fleet, which includes trucks operated by its moving company, a construction team that will use the compressor for power tools and a thrift store team for daily operations.
“At ELGi, we believe in fostering development and growth through community outreach programs that create transformative opportunities for those who truly need it,” said Zeke Hendrix, VP of Portable Compressors, ELGi North America. “We are proud to support The Other Side Academy and their mission.”
By enabling students to take on more complex tasks, the ELGi compressor will help them build practical skills and improve their employability after completing the program.
“This equipment will greatly enhance the operational efficiency and expand training opportunities for our students, helping them gain practical skills for future employment,” said Joseph Werner, Corporate Development Director, The Other Side Academy.
