VPInstruments introduced a powerful firmware upgrade for the VPFlowScope M all-in-one flow meter. The latest release significantly improves measurement accuracy, expands multi-gas capabilities and adds new functionality for even more flexibility in the field. Simultaneously, the company launched VPStudio 4.1 with enhanced tools for configuration and data readout.

For plant managers, energy managers and compressed air specialists, accurate flow data is the foundation for reducing energy costs and making the right investment decisions. With this upgrade, the VPFlowScope M delivers even greater confidence in compressed air and industrial gas measurements.
The VPFlowScope M is designed to measure the complete compressed air system, from air compressor room to machine level. The sensor measures bi-directional flow, pressure, temperature and total flow simultaneously, giving users real-time insight into system performance and energy consumption. With the optional built-in data logger, this flow meter is ideal for both permanent monitoring and temporary air audits.
The latest firmware and VPStudio 4.1 introduced several major improvements. Higher measurement accuracy is available across the full operating range due to enhanced signal processing and upgraded calibration methods at the company’s proprietary calibration lab, providing even more reliable measurement data for audits, monitoring and energy-saving projects. Users can configure up to three gas correction factors in a single instrument; one VPFlowScope M can support applications with compressed air, CO₂, argon and other technical gases.
The new selectable flow cutoff and extended indication range help users detect abnormal or transient conditions that would otherwise remain unnoticed. Bi-directional VPFlowScope M flow meters are now delivered with a dedicated bi-directional calibration report, ensuring measurement accuracy across the full operating range in both flow directions.
The VPFlowScope M features the VPSensorCartridge concept. Instead of removing and shipping the entire flow meter for recalibration, users simply replace the sensor cartridge. This leads to faster servicing, minimal downtime and an easy way to benefit from the latest firmware improvements during the next maintenance cycle.
